Anthurium vanderknappii…besides being fun to type, is a real treat to grow. It has quite a showy orange inflorescence for an otherwise unremarkable plant. This little climber has oval leaves that will slowy climb up a suitable host, or ramble if there is nothing to climb. The size of the flower is almost comical in relation to the leaves. I’d been wanting to grow this one forever, then on a trip to Ecuador there it was, finally!
This plant is not in many collections, and this is a good chance to grow it.
These are plants about 5-6″ tall. The image is one of my stock plants.
