This is Keith Henderson’s fantastic hybrid Philodendron gloriosum x melanochrysum. I have had it for years and had done nothing with it besides admire it. To the untrained eye, it looks remarkably like a round P. melanochrysum. In fact, when the plant is young it is difficult to tell the difference, but when mature? Stand back, this velvety Philodendron gets big.
This beautiful Philodendron will climb, but also likes to creep along our shadehouse benches if it doesn’t have a suitable climbing host. Really a gorgeous plant
PLEASE READ: Largest leaf is about 6″ long.
