Description

Oh how I love Anthurium forgetii! With its beautiful round leaves it really stands out in the collection. This species is highly variable and I have had plants with beautiful silver veining and some with almost no visible silver at all. Even though this species has been described since 1906, there still doesn’t seem to be much information on it available. This Columbian anthurium is mostly easily distinguished by its lack of a sinus, which is the opening at the top of the leaf that most anthuriums have. This gives it a nearly completely round look. So cool! It’s time to pot these guys up, so you’ll be doing me a favor by buying one before I have to pot them. Seedlings available have leaves about 1-2″ long as in the third picture.
