Anthurium vittarifolium
A. vittarifolium Beautiful strap leafed anthurium from Columbia. This fantastic aroid is one I have really come to admire the longer the leaves get. Imagine, if you will, a 3" wide strap leaf that grows to 8 ft long. Beautiful plant. Great for hanging baskets. Spectacular plant!

Philodendron gigas
Truly as good as it gets. This, my friends is certainly the Cadillac of philodendrons! As if being chock full of velvety goodness weren't enough for the discerning aroid collector, how about the size this enormous aroid grows to? With leaves over 4 ft long and 3 ft wide when mature, who can resist it?! This Panamanian beauty first came to our attention after seeing the Aroid society's images below, (I hope you're sitting down).
Aroid society -Mature Philodendron Gigas
I mean, really....this is as good as it gets.

Anthurium regale
This velvety Peruvian beauty certainly deserves a special place in any collection. The dark green leaves are highlighted by silver veins. Phenominal plant! This Anthurium is quite a large grower and is said to get leaves 6 ft long, although we haven't been able to grow it that large. We're still trying...

Anthurium angustinum
This anthurium as good as it gets. A. angustinum is spectacular! With its upward pointing iridescent leaves, this gorgeous aroid steals the show.
My original information on this anthurium was merely a collection number. Croat 53705. After a little research, we found it was A. angustinum, from Rio de Janeiro state in Brazil at elevations of 100-1500 m.

Anthurium magnificum
This is an incredible Columbian anthurium. The velvety leaves are highlighted by silver veins that make this species one of the most sought after aroids in our collection. The new leaves are burgundy when they first open, hardening to a lustrous green. Anthurium magnificum is often characterized by its 4 sided flat, winged petioles.

Anthurium reflexinervium
Known to grow only the Tingo Maria in Peru, Anthurium reflexinervium is very difficult to find. I know I've said it before, but this really is one of the really great anthuriums. Imagine exaggerated Veitchii-like rippled leaves, only growing in a birdsnest form. The leaves are so stiff, they do not bend, and if you forced it, it would crack rather than flex. In its native habitat A. reflexinervium grows on rocky slopes, directly on the rocks as a lithophyte. We have found it prefers to grow in a bit more light than most of our other anthuriums. This fantastic aroid refuses to be confused with anything else in the collection and stands out way above the rest.

Philodendron verrucosum
This may very well be THE plant that got me into collecting aroids. With its irridescent velvety leaves, there is just nothing better. The back of the leaf has a red flame pattern while the front looks like crushed velvet. This Philo is quite hard to find. It is found from Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia down through Ecuador and Peru.
